Navigating a world of Generative AI: Introducing the AI assessment scale for practical class use

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Feedback form is now closed.
A practical, simple, and sufficiently comprehensive tool to integrate GenAI into educational assessment: the AI Assessment Scale (AIAS), pioneered by Cornell University is discussed, and practical examples of Ethical AI assessment in the classroom are added to the teacher toolkit.
As a part of a MEd. design project for the MET( Master of Educational Technology at UBC) we have designed adaptable activities for practical use of this scale to educate teachers and provide scaffolds for use in the classroom - we encourage computers or connected technology in this seminar as we look at practical applications together. This will be a hands-on workshop.
