Analyzing First-Year University Student Plagiarism Cases

The research presentation reports on a study analyzing 111 reported plagiarism cases among first-year students at TRU during 2021-2023. The study found that EAL students accounted for most cases, involving direct plagiarism. The researchers recommend that universities provide well-designed mandatory modules to help first-year students understand and avoid plagiarism.
